As a Senior Designer on this Starbucks holiday campaign, I led the creative team in shaping concepts that brought the world the hit of holiday joy we all desperately needed in our first COVID-19 holiday season. I designed the coffee packaging for our Christmas Blend roasts, spread joy through illustrated gift card designs, established the in-store creative expression, and guided the creative and UI/UX work that went into our annual Starbucks For Life game.




Packaging Design
As Senior Designer, I created the signature coffee packaging for the 2020 Christmas Blend and Christmas Blend Decaf roasts, bringing forth an elevated and joyful celebration of the coffee at the heart of the season. I carried the design through to other formats and international coffee bags as well, such our Starbucks VIA Instant and Origami instant coffee format in Japan.
Gift Card Design and Illustration
I designed and illustrated gift cards for the holiday season that leaned into joy and optimism, in our effort to uplift our customers’ everyday.
Menus and In-store Signage
The visual change from fall to holiday within our stores signals the return of the joyful spark that Starbucks seeks to ignite in the hearts of its customers every year. As Senior Designer, I led the development of our holiday in-store expression as we “turned the store red” (and green!) for yet another successful holiday season.

As Art Director, I guided our creative team through the challenge of developing a visual concept and narrative that acknowledged the realities of social distancing in 2020 through a lens of humanity and joy for the season. I also worked closely with our digital team to develop exciting new game mechanics and refine the interface to ensure that we delivered a holiday hit that was a joy to play.
