As the lead designer on a team tasked with rethinking equipment training for in-store partners, I led the design of a modernized approach that combined innovation with human-centered design. Collaborating closely with a third-party software developer, I guided the overall UI/UX and visual design for this immersive app-based training for the new Clover Vertica machine which was being rolled out to stores in North America. We pressure tested our ideas through a rigorous testing process, where input from actual Starbucks baristas played a pivotal role. Through iterative refinements based on their feedback, our training app not only aimed to educate but also aimed to deliver the quintessential Starbucks brand experience to our in-store partners.
